I’m an investigative reporter and editor for Undark Magazine, which covers science and politics for a national audience from its headquarters at MIT. My work mostly focuses on science policy and on children’s health.
Before joining Undark full-time in 2019, I spent six years as a freelancer. My writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Mother Jones, NPR, Politico, The Washington Post, Wired, and many other outlets. I’m part of a small Undark team that has twice been named a finalist for a National Magazine Award.
I was born in New York City and raised in East Tennessee. I now live in upper Manhattan.
